We’ve had my daughter enrolled at Knowledge Preschool since she turned three and we feel that it is the best decision that we could have made for her.
One of our biggest concerns with selecting a preschool was getting the right mix of “academics”, socialization, and fun. Knowledge Preschool has the perfect balance of all three. Our daughter really looks forward going to school in the morning AND she is also learning a tremendous amount. She’s constantly surprising us with topics that she has learned from school.
I’ve been especially astounded at the level of mathematics and reading that our daughter has achieved thanks to the school’s tutelage. Our daughter has breezed through all of the kindergarten entrance interviews that we have attended and in all cases the interviewer always specifically asks where she’s gone to preschool and notes how well they have prepared her for kindergarten.
The school is very well organized. The children have a daily routine with special activities on Fridays. They’ll also have other special activities throughout the year like a visit from the fire department with a fire truck, water day, and other seasonal activities. There is also a weekly music class that teaches the fundamentals of music. Neither my wife nor myself are musically inclined so I’ll always remember the excitement that I saw in my daughter when she starting pointing out tempo changes in music that we were listening to.
The staff is absolutely excellent and it is evident that they truly enjoy being with the children. I’m always amazed at how happy and respectful the children are of each other and with the staff. The teachers point out the need to empathize with others and help the children learn how to resolve conflicts on their own in the very rare cases that I’ve witnessed any conflict or rude behavior.
If I could go back in time, the only change that I would make would be to enroll my daughter sooner!
