Actvities at KPS from Nov – May 2014…

We’ve been busy with so many activities and special guests these past few months that we’re jam packed with pictures!

In November, we learned about pilgrims and Native Americans and how the Native Americans helped the pilgrims settle into their new life in America.

In December, we had someone very special visit us: SANTA! We had a great time sharing milk and cookies with him!

In January, Ms. Jan from the Santa Clara County Department of Parks and Recreation visited us to tell us all about the native animals that live in Santa Clara County.

In February, Chef Sang swung by to teach us about what chefs do. He talked about his favorite tool (a spatula), showed us how to make a smiling mouth out of apples, peanut butter, and marshmallows! Then he taught us how to do plating design!

In March, Dr. Kim, DDS came to talk about our teeth. She taught us how to brush our teeth and how to floss correctly. She even brought a giant mouth and toothbrush to show us what we need to do!

We also celebrated Dr. Seuss’s birthday! We have our very own Lorax at our school!

In April, the Easter Bunny dropped off Easter eggs all over the playground and play area outside for us to find!

In May we had a few things go on. First, it came time for our parents to come visit to see our Spring Performance!

We also had our special guests, Firemen Keven, Tristan, and Dennis! They taught us about what to do in case there is a fire emergency and we even got to walk through the fire truck!
